Growing up I always knew I wanted to work alongside animals in some capacity. I just never knew or could decide which direction to take. I’m someone who loves to learn and can never sit still for too long. There is just too much to do, see and experience in this world!
Over the past 30 years I have traveled to 31 countries out of 196. Not bad if you ask me!
In the last 17 years I have had 16 jobs, half of which were working with animals. I have volunteered at 10 different organisations, from zoological parks, private wildlife shelters, wildlife sanctuaries and veterinary clinics. Currently I’m working with domestic cats at The Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London, UK.
This blog is about my life, my adventures, challenges I’ve faced, but most of all its about my experiences with both domestic and exotic wildlife from around the world. I hope to create awareness of the different issues certain species are facing, in the hope you will feel the need to help these animals too.
If you love traveling and also adore animals, you’ve come to the right place.
I hope I can inspire you all to incorporate some animal volunteering when you travel. Not only will you learn a great deal about yourself, but being able to directly help these animals is such a rewarding feeling.
